Hotel Mariachi: Urban Space and Cultural Heritage in Los Angeles won First Place at the 2015 International Latino Book Awards on June 27 in San Francisco. Co-authors Catherine L. Kurland and Enrique Lamadrid accepted the award from Latino Literacy Now at the awards ceremony, held in conjunction with the American Library Association Annual Meeting.

Hotel Mariachi is a Finalist in the 17th Annual International Latino Book Awards, celebrating achievements in Latino literature and culture. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 27, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.
In conjunction with the Awards, authors Catherine Kurland and Enrique Lamadrid will be selling and signing copies of Hotel Mariachi at the American Library Association Annual Convention at the Moscone Convention Center, June 26–28.
